The Great Lakes Basin is more than a body of water—it’s the lifeblood of our region. It provides drinking water to over 40 million people in the United States and Canada, sustains local economies, supports vibrant ecosystems, and shapes the identity of the communities that call it home.

Your donation helps us protect this vital resource through environmental advocacy, community education, water justice initiatives, and direct action.

We support efforts to combat pollution, fight corporate water extraction, promote sustainable living, and amplify the voices of those most impacted by environmental harm.

Every dollar helps us organize clean-up events, launch awareness campaigns, support Indigenous-led water protection, and advocate for stronger environmental protections across the region.

A central focus of our work is advancing Rights of Nature legislation, which recognizes the Great Lakes as living entities with inherent rights to exist, flourish, and regenerate. This groundbreaking legal framework offers stronger, enforceable protections for the waters, ecosystems, and communities that depend on them.

Together, we can protect the Great Lakes—and the people who depend on them—for generations to come.
